All those who are planning to pursue MBA from US b-schools or US colleges and universities need to appear for GMAT exam as the GMAT score is mandatory for getting admission in to some of the top B schools in US. The GMAT Exam registration fees is $250 and the GMAT score is valid for five years. GMAT aspirant has the flexibility to re appear for the test in case he/she doesn’t get good GMAT score on the 1st attempt.

GMAT exam consists of GMAT Analytical Writing section, GMAT Verbal section and GMAT Quantitative section. The GMAT exam is designed in such a way that it will put to test candidate’s Verbal, Analytical and Quantitative skills.

The total time allotted for GMAT exam is approx. 4 hours which includes time allotted to solve each section and optional break time. The time allotted for GMAT Analytical writing assessment is 1 hour (30 min for each essay), GMAT Quantitative section is 75 minutes and GMAT Verbal section is 75 minutes.
